PickMe provides a platform connecting travelers ("Tourists") with local guides and influencers ("Experts"). Our services include:
- A marketplace to browse and connect with verified local experts
- A booking system to schedule experiences and services
- No online payment processing — fees are arranged directly between tourists and experts
- Messaging tools for tourists and experts to communicate
User Accounts
To use certain features of our platform, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Keep your account credentials secure
- Be responsible for all activities under your account
- Be at least 18 years old to create an account
Tourist Responsibilities
As a tourist using our platform, you agree to:
- Provide accurate booking information and requirements
- Treat experts with respect and professionalism
- Arrive on time for scheduled experiences
- Pay for services as agreed upon booking
Expert Responsibilities
As an expert on our platform, you agree to:
- Provide accurate profile information and service descriptions
- Deliver services professionally and as described
- Respond to booking requests in a timely manner
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
Bookings and Services
Bookings made through our platform create a direct arrangement between tourists and experts. PickMe acts as an intermediary to facilitate these connections but is not a party to the services provided by experts.
Payments and Fees
All service fees are arranged directly between tourists and experts. The platform does not process any payments.
Cancellation Policy
Our cancellation policy:
- Tourists may cancel a booking before the scheduled service. The platform does not process payments, so it handles no fees or refunds
- Experts must provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations
- Emergency cancellations are handled on a case-by-case basis
Prohibited Activities
Users are prohibited from:
- Engaging in any illegal activities
- Harassing, threatening, or discriminating against other users
- Providing false information or engaging in fraudulent activities
- Attempting to circumvent the platform's safeguards, moderation or rate limits
Limitation of Liability
PickMe provides the platform on an "as is" basis. We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by experts. PickMe charges no fees and does not process payments.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold PickMe harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or violation of these terms.
Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict of law principles.
